The second method of floor preparation used by Neoseal is diamond grinding. Diamond grinding involves using diamond bits to grind the surface that is being prepared. The process removes layers of the surface. In the process surface irregularities, coatings, minor pits and divots can be removed. As a result diamond grinding is most often used in situations where the pavement is uneven.
There are a couple of minor disadvantages associated with diamond grinding. The first is that diamond grinding is generally slower and takes longer than other methods. The second is that if the operator is too aggressive it can leave swirl marks in the surface.
There are a number of benefits to using diamond grinding. Many of these benefits are specific to particular applications and situations. Diamond grinding enhances texture and friction.
The new surface helps to prevent hydroplaning. This process does not negatively impact the durability of the surface. It also levels doorway entrances and creates smooth driveway approaches.
